ExtensionDash Is Now in the ChatGPT Plugin Store
My ExtensionDash MCP plugin was approved a few days ago and is now in the ChatGPT plugin store.
ExtensionDash tracks browser extensions in the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons: users, ratings, keyword positions and competitors. I built it because I wanted to know whether changes to my own listings were helping people find them.
I wrote earlier about making that data available to agents over MCP, the Model Context Protocol. The plugin brings those tools into ChatGPT.
You can ask things like:
- “Find Chrome extensions for taking screenshots with lots of users but low ratings.”
- “Which of my tracked keywords lost positions this month?”
- “Which competitors are ranking above my extension?”
The public catalog works without an ExtensionDash account. You can research a niche, compare listings, and look for extensions whose ratings or limited language support suggest room for something better. Connect your ExtensionDash account to review your own tracked extensions and their recorded history.
The marketplace part interests me as a developer. In the earlier post, getting started meant copying a terminal command and adding an MCP server to an agent. Now I can send someone a store listing. That gives me a much simpler way to introduce the same tools to people who already use ChatGPT.
I want to see what people ask once they have access to the data. A dashboard gives you the questions its author thought to put on the screen. A conversation leaves more room for the next question.
Try ExtensionDash in ChatGPT. If you try it, I would like to hear what you asked and where it fell short: anton@kopylov.net.
